About Drs. Cohen

Dr. Robert M. Cohen and Dr. Brian P. Cohen are brothers. They are both University trained Specialists as Orthodontists and have been in the private practice of Orthodontics and TMJ Dysfunction in South Florida since the late 1970’s.

Because of their strong beliefs and participation in continuing education programs, their focus remains fine tuned and on the leading edge of Orthodontic and TMJ technology. They routinely receive additional advanced training in diagnosis/treatment planning of Orthodontia, cranio-facial pain/TMJ disorders, reconstructive maxillo-facial surgery, growth and development, cosmetic, and adult treatment.  They have made a commitment to their profession, their families, their community, and have created beautiful smiles and developed healthier lives for many people.

Robert M. Cohen, D.D.S.
Dr. Robert M. Cohen is formerly of Washington, D.C. where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Howard University College of Dentistry in 1974, as well as his Specialty Residency in Orthodontics in 1977, having ranked number one in the program. He was in private practice in Laurel, Maryland prior to moving to South Florida and was in the exclusive practice of Cranio-facial Pain/TMJ Dysfunction in North Miami Beach for several years.

He’s been a consultant at Lindsey Hopkins Medical Center - Dade County Research Center. He has lectured to professional groups including Mount Sinai Medical Center - Miami, and Howard University College of Dentistry Post Doctoral Department of Orthodontics. He enjoys the beach and spending family time with his two sons.

Brian P. Cohen, D.D.S.
Dr. Brian P. Cohen’s extensive credentials include receiving his Doctoral Degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1977 with multiple honors. He was elected into the National Honorary Dental Society Omicron Kappa Upsilon, as well as being a recipient of the Irwin Raymond Thall Memorial Award for Clinical Dentistry, and the Alpha Omega Award for high scholastic standing. He completed his advanced Post Doctoral Speciality training in Orthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry in 1979 and ranked number one in the program. Prior to moving to South Florida he was in private practice in Westchester County, New York. Dr. Brian Cohen  is a dedicated father and husband. He enjoys skiing, scuba diving, travel, and family time together with his wife, Ellen, and their two daughters.
